According to the American Cancer Society, breast cancer is one of the most common cancers among American women. About 1 in 8 women in the US will develop invasive breast cancer during their lifetime. This alarming percentage is why Interstate teamed up with Helen’s Angels for their 5th annual event, Tinis for Tatas.

This fundraising event was held on October 8th and we are pleased to have seen its success. Along with attending, we were happy to donate an auction basket for the cause. In total, it’s believed that they generated approximately $40,000.00!!!

Helen’s Angels supports the MD Anderson Cancer Center of Cooper, the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center at Thomas Jefferson Hospital, and has a mission to provide in-kind and financial support to individuals and their families that are impacted by a breast cancer diagnoses. This wonderful organization is worth looking into if you haven’t done so already. For more information, visit the Helen’s Angels website.

At this time there are more than 2.8 million breast cancer survivors in the United States. This includes women still being treated and those who have completed treatment according to the American Cancer Society. Join the fight to support more individuals battling and surviving breast cancer!
