Safety and Training
All Interstate employees receive general safety training as well as specialized safety training based on their specific job duties. Our staff is also trained to consider the health and safety of the people around them, such as building occupants and visitors.
Company-wide, standardized janitorial processes ensure quality service for our clients at all times. Extensive on-the-job training of all cleaning, chemical, equipment, and safety procedures ensures that our qualified staff cleans faster, smarter, and safer.
Interstate is one of the select companies in Pennsylvania with direct insurance company safety training, and we have been certified by the Department of Labor’s PA Workplace Safety Committee.
Our training program includes:
- Hands on site training
- Direct safety training programs
- Distributor specialist training
- DVD training program
In addition, our safety policy always includes:
Placing appropriate signage in working areas is just one necessary requirement of many to ensure everyone’s safety.
Interstate’s cleaning staff is required to wear a company uniform for identification. Our uniform consists of a navy blue shirt with the Interstate logo on the left breast and “PRIDE” on the sleeve. All Interstate personnel take pride in their work, their appearance, and satisfying our customers’ needs.
Our cleaning staff is totally accessible at any hour in the event of an emergency or if you need to schedule special services such as carpet shampooing, hard surface floor care, window cleaning, or furniture cleaning. Make arrangements with the manager on-site or contact our office. In addition, our management staff will notify you immediately to make your office aware of any concerns throughout the facility.
For the protection of your employees, tenants and visitors, Interstate employees are trained to follow OSHA requirements, and are responsible for reporting any unsafe conditions to a building representative.
