Celebrating the People Who Make Interstate Great

This Labor Day, we’re taking a moment to celebrate the incredible people who make Interstate what it is. Every day, our employees show up with dedication, pride and a commitment to doing their jobs well—and their work makes a difference for our customers, our communities and each other.

One person who perfectly represents that spirit is Mr. Chunilal Seebaran.

With more than 23 years of service, Mr. Chuny is one of Interstate’s longest-tenured employees. Throughout his career, he has taken on a variety of roles, including facilities maintenance, supervisor and, most recently, vacuum and light-equipment repair. His career reflects the kind of hands-on experience, reliability and dedication that have become such an important part of the Interstate family.

Today, Mr. Chuny can be found in the Home Office most mornings, working in his repair shop to keep the company’s vacuums and equipment operating properly. His work may happen behind the scenes, but it plays an important role in helping our managers and frontline teams have the equipment they need to keep our customers’ buildings clean.

But what makes Chuny especially memorable isn’t just what he does—it’s who he is.

He is always happy to see people, and you can count on him to say hello to just about everyone who walks through the Home Office. And if you know Mr. Chuny well, there’s a good chance he may even share some of his lunch with you.

And then there’s his relationship with retirement.

Mr. Chuny has retired twice—and came back both times.

We think that says a lot about what it means to be part of the Interstate family. It’s not simply about a job. It’s about the people you work alongside, the relationships you build and the sense of pride that comes from being part of something bigger.

Mr. Chuny’s story is just one example of the commitment and longevity we see throughout our organization. Across Interstate, our team members bring their experience, knowledge and dedication to work every day. From the employees delivering services at our customers’ facilities to the teams supporting them behind the scenes, every person plays an important role in our success.

Labor Day gives us an opportunity to recognize that work and, most importantly, the people behind it.

To Mr. Chuny and the entire Interstate team: thank you for your hard work, your dedication, your positive spirit and the pride you bring to what you do.

We’re proud to have you as part of the Interstate family.
